Tax Preparations

how it works

In the event of an audit, Consult Roundtable will:

Our goal is to minimize the financial impact an audit would have on you, your family and/or your business.

  1. Defend your income tax return through the highest level of appeals.
  2. Review your notice/letter with you and tell you exactly what the IRS is looking for.
  3. Have you sign a tax Power of Attorney form allowing us to take over communication/ correspondence from the IRS. This also allows us to represent you before the IRS/State to defend you any these proceedings. Generally, you should not need to talk to or meet the IRS by yourself.
  4. Schedule and attend all audit appointments on your behalf.
  5. Prepare requests for appeals conferences.
  6. Ask you for documents and information supporting the items on your tax returns that are under examination. We are not able to defend falsified or fraudulent claims.
  7. Attempt, assuming you have the proper supporting documentation, to achieve a “no-change” determination.
  8. Attempt to negotiate a payment plan or installment agreement for you with the IRS.
  9. Make sure that it is the lowest amount permissible under the law, if it is found that you do owe additional tax.

Our goal is to minimize the financial impact an audit would have on you, your family and/or your business.
